This started on an ordinary Tuesday, with one woman on the phone with a fourth pharmacy, then a fifth, then a sixth, then a seventh, hunting for a single box of estrogen patches. Two hours in, she finally found one. She shouldn't have had to work that hard for a medication she's taken for years.
She's not alone. Estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone therapies have all been harder to fill this year, and the shortages don't always show up neatly on an official list. They show up as busy signals, backorders, and women driving from pharmacy to pharmacy hoping the next one has what the last one didn't.
Where's My HRT exists to close that gap, not with a call center, but with the women already making these calls every day.
